RELEASE BLITZ: TRICK PLAY BY MAX MONROE

Blurb:
Booze, women, and brotherhood—that’s what my good friend Quinn’s bachelor party should have been.

Booze, one mysterious raven-haired woman, and an arrest—that’s what it was.

As Cam Mitchell, a New York Maverick and one of the best tight ends in the professional football league, my to-do list should be pretty simple.

Play ball.
Get laid.
Have fun.

But after one hour with a stripper named Trixie, that list of mine has shifted dramatically.

Tell Quinn to call my lawyer.
And, for the love of God, don’t get fired from the Mavericks.

I swear, I tried to make it stop there.
But one tiny thing keeps finding its way to the very top…

Find out more about the dark-haired beauty with the big blue eyes and make her mine.

Too bad it’s a hell of a lot more complicated than that.

How do you fall in love with a woman whose real name you don’t know?

Well, ladies and gentlemen…I’m about to find out.

From the New York Times & USA Today bestselling author of TAPPING THE BILLIONAIRE comes a hilarious and sexy standalone about a secret, forbidden romance and just how tricky love can be.

REVIEW: 5 STARS

Max Monroe delivers another sexy and funny story with Trick Play. Cam and Lana's story was emotional, full of humor and thoroughly enjoyable. This writing duo is so skilled at writing in this genre, and they proved that once again with this book.

"She was a woman with more to her story, and God almighty, I wanted to find out what it was."

I loved that this was so much more than a simple rom-com. It was heartfelt and emotional and had characters who I fell in love with. Cameron Mitchell was such a surprise. I loved his single-minded determination to get to Lana and discover the woman behind the façade she presented. He was such a genuinely great guy who yearned to form a meaningful connection with someone, and his devotion to Lana was unwavering. Lana's character was tough yet vulnerable, and she does not make things easy for Cam. She had a goal she needed to achieve, yet found herself fighting growing feelings for him as she went about her mission. Their road to happiness was not an easy one, and they had to overcome some pretty big barriers, both within themselves and from outside factors. The two of them had some amazing chemistry, and when they did eventually come together, it was well worth the wait.

"This man had burrowed himself so deep inside me, and even through I knew this wasn't smart, I knew this was a risk, I couldn't find a single reason to walk away from him."

I really enjoyed the emotional components to the story, and felt like the angst was the best that I've ever read from this author duo. There were a couple of scenes that were absolutely heartbreaking. The storyline will make readers laugh and swoon and tug on their heartstrings at the same time. Cam and Lana's story was by far my favorite of the Mavericks series. I am so thrilled that there are more books coming in this series, and am looking forward to reading them.
