I have been dying to get my hands on Connor's book since reading Perfect Chaos, and Nashoda Rose did not disappoint with this book. Perfect Rage was a dark, sexy, suspenseful, and emotionally charged story that had me hanging onto every word. Rose is such a talented writer, and she weaves an incredibly engaging storyline that keeps the reader hooked. Connor and Alina's story was equal parts beautiful and tragic, and I absolutely loved it.

"My life was never meant to be a happily ever after. I grew up knowing that. I'd accepted it. Until Connor."

Having read the first two books in the series, I knew that Connor's story would be an emotional one. We were given glimpse of what he endured, but the details of what he experienced and why were always unclear until now. I love that rather than have us fill in the blanks, the author took us back to the beginning, where Connor and Alina met for the first time. There is nothing like that first meeting, and I loved seeing them fall for each other at a young age. The events that follow are tragic and heartbreaking, and Rose does such an amazing job capturing the angst and emotions that her characters are experiencing. This was so much more than a love story, more than a physical attraction. It is about the soul-searing connection between two people who have the odds stacked against them. I loved Alina, she was the epitome of strength and resilience, while remaining sweet and kind-hearted. Connor had me swooning over him. Rose knows how to write an alpha male that you will fall in love with, and Connor was insanely protective, possessive, loyal and faithful to the one girl who owned his heart.

"She was now my addiction. My craving. My need."

This author has an amazing way with words, pulling her reader in until they are completely consumed by the story. I loved the back and forth between the past and the present, a task that not every author can pull off, but one that Rose did brilliantly. Connor and Alina have gone through hell and back, and as a reader I felt their pain, anger and heartache. They were the true definition of soul mates. Their connection was such an incredible one, an unbreakable bond that time and circumstances could not sever.

"It would never be enough. With him the hunger would never be satisfied. No matter who we'd been. our bodies knew where we belonged."

As with the other books in this series, Perfect Rage contains the perfect blend of romance, action, and angst. This author is a truly talented storyteller in that her plots are so intricate but not over-complicated or confusing. I loved seeing the entire crew back together again, especially Deck and Georgie, and Kai and London. The epilogue had me laughing out loud and left me with tears in my eyes. I am so sad to say goodbye to this incredible cast of characters who truly are a family, some by blood, and others by circumstance. Nashoda Rose did a spectacular job with this series, and it is one that I highly recommend.
