Dark Mafia Prince by New York Times bestselling author, Annika Martin is LIVE!

Don’t look at me like that. So trusting. Like you think I’m not a monster. Like I won’t wrap your hair in my fist and bend you to my will. Like I won’t sacrifice you, piece by piece, to save my brother. I’m the most dangerous enemy you’ll ever have because every time you look at me, you see somebody good. That friend who died. And when you look at me like that, I die again.

I spent years making myself invisible. A good girl, apart from the noise.
Then you came back, beautiful and deadly in your Armani suit. Don’t look at me like you still know me, you say. But I remember your smile and those sunny days. Before they lowered your small casket into the ground. Before they told us the prince was dead.

With an incredible storyline and the type of captivating writing that sucked me in from the very first page, Dark Mafia Prince was a book that I did not want to end. This is my absolute favorite genre to read, and Annika Martin completely blew me away with this story. It was dark, sexy, thrilling and suspenseful, with intriguing characters that were richly layered and well-written. Dark Mafia Prince tells the story of Aleksio, the presumed-dead heir to a mafia dynasty and Mira, his former childhood friend who is also the daughter of his enemy. These are two people who are thrown together in tumultuous circumstances, and find themselves fighting impossible odds in a dangerous and deadly game.

"You knew me once, but I promise, you don't know me anymore."

The dynamic between Mira and Aleksio was such an intriguing one, especially given the tension that was between them. Having been best friends as kids, it was difficult for both of them to keep the other at a distance emotionally when they came together again as adults. Both of them faced internal struggles that stemmed from different places, and the author did a great job with each character's inner dialogue. I really enjoyed getting the POV of both characters. Mira was such an amazing woman. She was so much more than the shallow, spoiled princess that the world viewed her as. She was intelligent and loyal, and dedicated her life to helping others. She exhibited strength and vulnerability at the same time, traits that Aleksio found hard to resist. Aleksio stole my heart from the very beginning. He was incredibly sexy, fearless, and dominating. I loved that he wasn't one who followed the rules, instead, he made his own rules. He was conflicted when it came to Mira, as he wanted to see her as simply a means to an end, but she kept pushing through his barriers. One dark and deadly, the other light and good, these two strong individuals coming together made for some amazing scenes that were brimming with sexual tension.

"The way he uses me is violent. Primitive. Demeaning. And all I can think is, don't stop."

Mira and Aleksio had an undeniable bond that neither time nor circumstance could sever, and that only grew in intensity as the story went on. The intimacy between these two was so damn hot. That scene in the hotel room is one I won't soon forget. Martin is great at writing a steamy scene that is jam-packed with an abundance of explosive chemistry. I never knew what was going to happen when the two of them were in a room together, which speaks to the author's brilliant storytelling ability. Aleksio was a rough, dominating dirty-talker who brought out a side to Mira she never knew existed. I loved their physical connection as much as their emotional one.

"This is mine to use how I want, got it? And right now I want you relaxed and dripping so I can do you hard."

The author gives the reader a storyline packed with action and suspense, infused with just enough romance and emotion to make it perfectly well-balanced. There wasn't a single part of this story that I did not enjoy. I am so thrilled that Aleksio's brothers will get their own stories, and cannot wait to get my hands on Viktor's book, which is sure to be another epic ride. I now have a new favorite author to add to my list, and I couldn't be happier. Lovers of dark, twisty, and suspenseful romance will absolutely love this story, and I highly recommend it.
