What do you do when your heart wants something you know you can never have, yet you can’t imagine living without it? When you finally look into Caribbean blue eyes and know they will mean the end of you?

What do you do when you lose your heart … and then she gets taken away from you?

You raise hell.

Jax Buchanan had a plan—a plan to start over, to somehow leave his past behind, and this plan sure as hell did not include her. But when Jax first laid eyes on the flaming redhead, he knew that Kim would be the one to tame him. She had the power to disarm him, to bring him to his knees, and to make him want something a man like him should never want … a future.

Since being with her was not an option, Jax desperately fought against his growing feelings for Kim. It was the only way he knew how to protect her. Yet the more he fought, the more he tried to keep his distance, the harder it became for him to deny his desire for her.

But somehow Jax screwed up … and now Kim is gone—taken by a psychopath with no conscience, who would do anything to get Jax’s cooperation in one of his twisted endeavors.

Now it’s up to Jax to save her, to take back what has been taken from him...

And he would crawl through Hell to get her back.

REVIEW: 5 out of 5 Stars

What a crazy, suspenseful ride this book was.  Resplendent Rage, book 3 in the Resplendence series, is jam-packed with explosive suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat and passionate romance that will have you craving more.  The story begins right where book 2 of the series left off, with Kim at the hands of a ruthless criminal and Jax desperate to save the woman who managed to captivate him in a short period of time.  With Jax's employer pulling the strings and the odds stacked against them, prepare yourself for one hell of a ride with this book.

The story alternates between the past and the present, giving the reader insight into how Jax came to be at this point of his life, as well as Jax and Kim's POVs during the short time they had together after meeting.  It was great getting their perspective on the events that took place during Resplendent Rush, when Jax and Kim first met and began spending time together.  The heat between them was so immediate and so strong, and I love the angst that was involved as Jax tried his best to keep his distance from Kim.  These were two great people who were dealt an awful hand due to some choices that Jax made at a young age.  Kim was such an incredibly strong person.  She was completely selfless, resilient in the face of danger, and refused to go down without a fight.  In a situation that many would deem hopeless, she managed to keep her wits about her and stay strong.  Jax was just as great of a character.  Like Levi and Knox, he was an alpha to his core, obsessively protective, and was relentless in his quest to find Kim and keep her safe.   He felt things for her in a short period of time that he had never felt before, and was determined to bring her back to him.

I love this cast of characters that we first met in book 1, and enjoyed all of the interactions they had with each other.  I loved seeing Knox, Juliette, Daniel, Lexi and Levi again.  Their loyalty to each other was so great, and the scenes where they all came together in an effort to rescue Kim were some of my favorite.  Even with the danger surrounding them, there were some arguments and banter among the group that had me laughing out loud. This story was different from the first two books in the series, in that it touched on some darker elements, which I loved.  Baptise was one hell of a villain, whose cruelty was boundless, and I was rooting for Jax and his friends to take him down like he deserved.  There were some incredibly suspenseful moments in the story, and the author did a great job with the build up of the plot.  She does suspense really well, as I was on the edge of my seat and did not want to put my Kindle down until I found out what was going to happen.  This was another fantastic book by Bella J, and I can't wait to see what she has in store for her readers next.
