Reviews ~ Reign by MN Forgy

Reign by MN Forgy

 BLURB

As the president of the Sin City Outlaw Motorcycle Club, I fuck as hard as I ride and rarely go to bed alone.
The women are fast and the violence is intense.
I excel in both.
People either respect me or fear me. I'm not arrogant. It’s just the truth.
I was a king, reigning over Vegas without complication, until one gorgeous sheriff made everything fall apart.
When I saw her, I became a Neanderthal, wanting nothing more than to be between those legs.
I guess that’s where I went wrong, because my reality was shot to hell real fucking fast.
One kiss caused her to step over that blue line.
One night in her bed made me a traitor.
And now… we’re both screwed.

Reign is the first book in the Sin City Outlaws series. The second book, Mercy, will be out in April 2016.

Kathy's Review

I fell in love with this author with her first series, Devil's Dust MC, and with this book, a beginning to a new series, I just fell harder. I'm late with this review because I didn't have the chance to read the book until last night and for that I apologize to the Author but know that I am now being punished for tardiness in the form of sleep deprivation because I was up all night with this book, not from a sense of obligation but rather because I could not put in down. Oh, and I have a mad husband today because I woke him up with my laughter but that's for later. Once you start with this book you will be captured and chained. Its a different MC book but I loved it. Its definitely a modern day "star crossed lovers" romance and I'm using that analogy rather than 'Romeo and Juliet' because Zeek is no Romeo and Jullian is no Juliet, but you get the point. In a way, the feuding families are there because both characters consider their "careers" their life and by default the others they are around would be family. Cops and bikers can definitely be equated to feuding families and as expected bring much humor and angst to this story. Yeah, I loved it!

I'm going to make this short because you should not be wasting time on my review. What you should do is one-click and start reading. Yes, there is a 'sort of' cliffhanger but it's not bad. I was expecting a bad one so I was thankful when it more like a HFN with more of their story to come soon than a brutal, leave you hanging cliffy. Thank you MN Forgy for that. There was not anything that I did not like about this book. It has everything you'd expect with the background of a ruthless biker and a dedicated, introverted cop. Its gritty, angsty, and there are some very, very funny moments like this one that I will probably never forget...

** This is from the thoughts of Zeek; "Before I knew it, there were twenty f----ing text messages. I'm not proud. In fact, I'm about to ask Siri where my balls are." I laughed until I had tears, woke up my hubby who kicked me out of the bedroom, and I still laugh when I think about it. It was just unexpected....just one click and you'll understand. ***

So, the technical stuff. It's very well written. The dialogue is perfect. The characters and plot are well developed. The plot flows effortlessly with some twists and turns, one that I expected and one that took me completely by surprise. There are no inconsistencies!!! Let me repeat that. There are NO inconsistencies. Thank you Ms. Forgy! This is the first book in a long time that there has been NO inconsistencies. Bravo to you! Reign should appeal to many readers. It has romance, smoking hot sex scenes, hot bikers, grittiness, angsty feelings, humor, suspense with shocking twists and turns and an ending that indicates that there is more to come but doesn't slay you with a brutal cliffy.

I think I've made it abundantly clear, but just to be clear... I recommend this book. I recommend that you stop what you are doing now and one-click, just as I did after reading the ARC and I recommend this author. I would like to thank MN Forgy and The Rock Stars of Romance for this fantastic opportunity. Happy Reading!
